Recently I was browsing around the web and found a page full of songs that CLEAR CHANNEL felt were inappropriate to play after 9/11.
I was kinda dumbfounded to find many great songs on the list, and many of them had nothing to do with the event.. although I am amazed they did not add its the end of the world as we know it to the list as well..
The list of 150 songs was based on lyrics they deemed inappropriate. Let us stop and examine this for a minute. Let us stop and realize what this REALLY means.
Who is controlling what NEWS I get?
Who is controlling the radio?
With the event of 9/11/2001, it has changed alot of things.. who is saying what news we can and can not hear?
Its certainly not Google News, its large Corperations.
These Corperations have been running the show and telling us what we can hear and what is good for us?
How many stations do you see having the exact same program on in the USA? How many stations are CLONES of every other station out there?
After some investigation, that all Clear Channel Stations are pretty well the same. They are clones of one another, running the corperate policy.
This is why MANY shows are forced off conventional radio and goto XM or sirius satellite radio, or are forced onto the internet.
I can say for certain, that this is the fact of the matter is the true and free radio has moved to the underground called the internet. Those radio shows that are on the internet have been around on Conventional radio before are forced there because of the Corperate line. Anything that does not conform to what the President is saying or upsetting the status quo. Lets take a look for a minute of how many radio shows have been tossed off conventional radio.
Lets look at Music Radio now.. how many artists actually are good, and how many of the just plainly suck?
Many artists are just shoved into our faces because they have that ability to do so. I believe that its time people turned off the radio in their cars, and put in the cd of what they want to listen to.
Stop the brianwashing and take control of what you want to listen to. I do not even know who the newest artists are that have come out on to the music scene, because I am unplugged from the music scene. I just download what I want when I want.
I enjoy the fact that I can make that choice about what it is that I want to listen to, and so should you.
