GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A man used an Internet chat room to try to set up a mass suicide on Valentine’s Day involving more than two dozen women across the United States and Canada, authorities said.

Gerald Krein, 26, was arrested Wednesday at his mother’s mobile home in Klamath Falls and faces charges of solicitation to commit murder, sheriff’s deputies said.

Investigators are subpoenaing chat room records to try to contact people who might have planned to take part in the suicide.

Detectives learned of the plan from a woman in Canada who said she saw the message in a Yahoo! chat room that had the words “Suicide Ideology” in the title.

The woman told detectives she was going to take part in the suicide but had second thoughts when another chat room participant said she would do it and talked about killing her two children before taking her own life, Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger said.

“Our primary goal is to try to locate where these endangered children might be,” Evinger said. “We need to investigate where these other computers are. Hopefully we can intervene if anyone still has the notion to follow through with this.”

The chat room participants planned to log in on Valentine’s Day and commit suicide while keeping in touch over the Internet, Evinger said. The chat room is no longer active.

Krein was looking for women and children to join in the suicide, sheriff’s Capt. Chris Montenaro said. Investigators believe the total number, including Krein, was 32, Montenaro said.

Deputies seized Krein’s computer and a webcam, and the suspect was being held without bail. Krein had moved to Klamath Falls from the Sacramento, Calif., area about a year ago to take care of his ailing father, Evinger said.

District Attorney Ed Caleb said he was taking the solicitations seriously.

“There is always a chance this is a joke, but our position is in this world, any time a person makes these kinds of overt actions, they need to be looked into,” Caleb said.

A grand jury will be convened Monday to determine whether Krein will face additional charges, Caleb said.

R. Thomas Boone, an assistant professor in the department of psychology at St. John’s University in New York, said Valentine’s Day can be a powerful psychological trigger for lonely people.

“Valentine’s Day is one those things where people say, ‘I should have someone with me,’ ” Boone said. “Then they go look for someone. Oftentimes these are people of low self-esteem. They get involved with someone more powerful, who has got charisma and seems to have the answer.”

War Veterans – Unprogramming Them to Kill

In a world of war, our Military programs people to kill. We train them to kill on command, and with an instinctive reaction. This training to kill on insinct become a second nature to these people. They may use a knife, firearm, missle or a smart bomb to carry out these acts. We have heard of many cases of ex-military persons killing people in bar fights, killing their family and in general not being able to enter society and become a normal person again once their time in the service is up.

The military spends billions of dollars training people to kill, and being the best at it. The problem with all that is at the end of their Term of Service, they are discharged with no unprogramming. they are sent back into society without the deprogramming necessary to bring them back in line with normal thinking of regular people.

Most people that have been in the military that leave the military are not deprogrammed to kill, they are simply discharged.

These people are now left with the training and in a world that has no use, and are to reintegrate back into society, left to deal with the demons of war and things they did in the past.

On a personal note, my grandfather said to me that many people that left the military after WWII said that most people did not know how to go back into the normal everyday life. Some killed people and went to jail, some killed themselves, others had problematic marriages, divorces etc..

In conclusion, the Military Complex is responsible for creating lots of headcases…..

Privacy Dead and Loving it!!

Yes its true privacy is actually dead. Your personal information goes though over 100 computers a day while you sit at home and watch tv.

As we are in the information age, your information your credit info what your assets are, everything is bought and sold as a commodity.

Even your e-mail address is bought and sold these days, you purchase something online that information gets sold was well.

Believe it or not there is no real thing as privacy anymore.

In the United States your phone line, e-mail, mail box can be monitored with out a warrant since 9/11, in the fight for better security, privacy was sacrificed. Here is the catch the three things will not be monitored unless you present a clear and present danger to the national security of the United States. But can you be sure that your phone line is not tapped? No, you cant.

In Canada, The Federal Police force has the authority to put taps on peoples phone lines with a warrant, but if a telephone repair guy sees one he is FORBIDDEN to even report its existence.

So in the silence and darkness of the night you wonder if your being watched, you probably are, so there is only one thing to do, and that is to go about your normal daily life as if there is no phone taps, etc.

Alas there was one person that would not walk away,
so he grabbed the ip address and put in in his browser and there was the masterpiece of a webpage, so with haste Max saved the main page.

Max is most possibly the last person to ever to access the www.artbell.com main page. With that, Max has possibly the last counter reading, and with a screenshot for proof.
